Homoeopathy is a complete system of health and works according to a defined set of principles. These principles describe how homoeopathy differs from the medical model used by Western medicine (or Allopathy).

Here is a very brief explanation of these basic principles.

Like cures like

Homœopathy uses remedies that would cause the same symptoms in a healthy person that they would treat in an unhealthy one.

Classical Homœopaths use 1 remedy

You only ever take one remedy at a time. This allows your body to make full use of each remedy and not to become overwhelmed by it.

Smallest Dose

Homœopaths give the minimum dose and strength that is required to overcome the ailment. This level is matched to your specific needs.

Potentisation

Remedies are made by ‘potentising’, which means highly diluting and shaking the natural substances. Remedies contain little to none of the original source. This potentisation increases the remedy’s strength and range of use.

Susceptibility

Every person is completely different. What affects you – what makes you better and worse may not affect those around you. Homœopathy treats your individual susceptibility. By doing this we treat the root cause.

Homœopathy treats holistically

Homœopathy focuses on all the things that make you individual. It takes into account your body, emotions, mind and lifestyle.

Vital Force

Also known as your Chi, Prana, Qi or vitality. When this force is out of balance we experience symptoms as the body attempts to right itself. Homœopathy treats the imbalance, helping the body to stop producing symptoms.

Law of Cure

Homœopathy aims to cure quickly, gently and permanently. Cure comes from within and moves outward and from vital organs to less vital organs.

Provings

Homœopathic remedies are tested only on healthy humans. The symptoms they cause are those they will treat. Provings give us vital information on how the remedies work.
